Delaware Valley Grantmakers is a membership association
for grantmakers, and does not make grants, provide technical
assistance to nonprofits, or make recommendations to match
grantseekers with specific funders. Therefore, DVG recommends

Regional Foundation Center (RFC)

The Regional Foundation Center (RFC) was founded in
1974 to provide grantseekers, grantmakers, and the general
public with accurate current information on nonprofit
management, proposal writing, and general philanthropy.
Its collection of print and electronic materials is
the largest public information clearinghouse of its
type in the tri-state area.
Note: The RFC is a Cooperating
Collection of the Foundation Center in New York, and
is a great first stop for nonprofits searching for
appropriate funders to support their projects.

The new edition published in October, 2002, profiles
over 1,600 foundations in the state of Pennsylvania
with assets of $250,000 or more and who award at least
$10,000 in discretionary grants per year. Each profile
contains a list of individual grants, financial data,
contact information, and application guidelines (if
established). Cost: $85.00. An online verison of the

LaSalle
Nonprofit Center

The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University, a program
of the University's School of Business Administration,
works to strengthen the management and governance infrastructures
of nonprofits throughout the Delaware Valley. LaSalle's
Nonprofit Center is the primary technical assistance
provider for nonprofit organizations in the Philadelphia
region. Drawing on a pool of consultants and trainers
primarily from LaSalle University's academic staff and
alumni community, the Center works mainly with mid-sized
arts, cultural, environmental, human service, social
justice, and social service organizations whose budgets
range from $75,000 to $10,000,000. The Center builds

Located in Harrisburg, PANO is the statewide membership
organization serving and advancing the charitable nonprofit
sector through leadership, advocacy, education and services
in order to improve the quality of life in Pennsylvania.
Member services include: Training Seminars; Technical
Assistance including Nonprofit Governance and Legislative
Information; Information on the Legislative Process
and on Getting to Know Your Legislator; and Education

Philadelphia
Nonprofit Capacity Building Collaborative
PNCBC is a consortium of nonprofit organizations providing
capacity-building assistance and other services to Philadelphia
area nonprofits. PNCBC's members deliver an array of
services to both start-up and established nonprofit
groups, including assistance with board development,
financial planning, fundraising, marketing, and legal
matters, among other areas. PNCBC offers a Resource
Guide that lists member organizations, along with a
description of the services each member provides to
its clients and contact information for program heads
and staff persons.

Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF)

The Nonprofit Finance Fund (formerly the Cultural Facilities
Fund) has provided financial and advisory services to
nonprofit organizations in the Greater Philadelphia
area since 1994. Serving nonprofits in Bucks, Chester,
Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, services
available to nonprofits include:
1. Loans for facilities and other growth-related projects
2. Workshops and advice on facilities and financial
planning, and new business development projects
3. Small planning grants of up to $10,000 to secure
specific pieces of information during the project planning
process (available by invitation only)
